It's been a while!

I just seem to get in and out of the whole blogging scene. Since I have nothing else to do and I read my BF Amber's blog and couldn't stop laughing. I figured I would post a little something myself. Well, as most of you know I am pregnant and have around 16 weeks left and life as I know it has been quite busy! When you are pregnant you go through a "nesting," stage. Since I have a little girl already I thought I knew what I was getting myself into?! With this one I am so military, everything neat, spotless, no dust, no trash and most of all nothing should be out of it's place! Any little thing drives me crazy, for instance; I was making dinner and putting the dishes away. When I found that the pot kept getting stuck on useless junk and on other pots and pans we don't use. I took everything out of the cabinet and threw most of it away! My husband calls me the pregnant Nazi! Which I would say is almost true except the whole "hail Hitler," BS!! Then one thing lead to another- I finished cleaning out our storage closet. Then to cleaning out our coat closet, to cleaning out our garage. Then our storage room in our garage, to the whole kitchen drawers and cabinets. Then cleaning out my daughters room, our room and both of our closets. I even cleaned out the linen closet and threw most of the old things away we haven't used. I know there is more I can do and I will. I have never in my life felt like the Jetson's robot Rosey, until now. It is weird and most of all the strangest thing I have ever done. With my daughter Grace I did laundry and the usual. This one is probably going to be more OCD then Grace. Who picks up little things off the floor only to throw it in the trash. Aren't kids suppose to eat crap off the floor? Not my kid!!
Eventually, it would have to be done; since we are a military family. Like my hubby says, I am crazy! :)
This time I will definitely agree with him 100%.

Cycling

This picture is the model of my bike. Just a rather new model at that!
The color was exactly like the picture below.

I have had a lot of time spent on my back lately. Not for the reason you may think! I am enduring my second process of being pregnant. Even though the doctor proscribed me medication to help with my nausea it has made it worse. During this time I have been watching the Tour De' France. I love watching it, it brings back the freedom I had when I rode all through San Diego county when I was a kid. How much fun and excitement I had, I think about it everyday. When I was 20 I saved up a lot of money to buy a car and instead I bought a bike. 2004 Fuji SL-1 Shimano. She was the love of my life, I road everywhere and anywhere. I would beat my co-workers in traffic to work. When you live in sunny California you can pretty much ride everyday. I have spent most of my time thinking about riding again. My father currently has my old bike, along with all of my other belongings from college. So hopefully when he digs through some of my belongings he can send it my way. I know after our second child I want to start training again. Cycling was such a big part of my life, along with swimming & running. Since I've gotten older I have put it to the side. Doing an Iron Man would complete my life and I am sure if I trained for a couple of years I would get back to the way I use to be. All muscle instead of skin an bones! :) There's nothing wrong with that- I long for the the feel of the wind in my face and music in my ears. Hours upon hours of time to myself to be one with the road or water.

Home Decor #2

Before
****AFTER*****

Our homemade pillow covers can out so well!

I am finally going to post my finished living room! It has been almost two weeks since we finished it. I was so excited and it really made our little house look a little bit classier then it once did. Sometimes making old into new can change your whole look on life and home. I bought chocolate slip covers from Bed Bath & Beyond for 100.00. Then I spent 5 dollars on fabric to make pillow covers. Four yards and I had much left over. As soon as we finish our dining table our chairs will have the same fabric as our pillow cases! It is pretty awesome, we just need to kick it into gear! Especially with a little one on the way, it has been a little difficult with wanting to sleep and take care of Grace. We will get it done, here is what we have so far! Tell me what you think?

Friends

Have you ever known those people who are your "so called" friends? I mean you know them, you love them but, when you step back and look. Why are you friends with them in the first place? When all they do is go on and on about themselves. They probably have no clue or a care as to what is going on in your life. Then they have those conversations on the phone when you don't know why they called, maybe to hear the echo of their voice! Self absorbed friends, I hate that! I mean everyone is a little vain, a little absorbed with their lives. Every time you see them, you start to realize they don't care about what's going on with you. I've noticed it a lot lately and I am definitely taking a step back. Friends are good when you need them, they are there when you need to talk, and they are there when you need a hug. Friends who only care about themselves really aren't your friends. Just selfish people

Home Decor

Remodeling your home could not get any better. Especially when you are doing it together! People think when you remodel your home you buy all new things. Not necessarily, I stared working on my dinning room table. Sanding it and re staining it, then I decided since we are putting so much work into that. That I would change the seat covers as well. I went to Walmart and bought some awesome fabric. It was 5 dollars a yard, with two yards I covered our 3 chairs. We only have three because that is all our table came with!! Then I decided I wanted to get new slip covers for our couch's. I went with a Chocolate color, our sofa's are black and it seems like they are so boring. I really wanted to liven up our house a bit, I got a great deal from Bed Bath & Beyond! Fifty dollars a piece, you can't beat that! Then I started thinking about throw pillows, the one's I really liked were 19.99 a piece. For 4 pillow's that is 80 dollars, plus Alaska shipping is another 20! Just to sit and look pretty, I think it is a little over rated! I took the left over fabric from my seat covers and brought out the old sewing machine! We made our own pillow covers for 30 dollars! When we are finished I will post the pictures. Piece by piece it is really coming along. I love how you can make one project into so many others!

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2

For some reason I made fun of the first movie when it came out. I gave it a chance, like I do all movies. I finally got to see the second film tonight on HBO. I absolutely loved it, there were parts where I wanted to cry. Maybe it is because I am a sentimental love crazed fool. For the most part it reminded me of all the wonderful people I have known in my lifetime. My sister who I love more than the world, my mom who brought me life and my best friend. Without your best friend or friends you wouldn't be you. They all affect who you are and push you to the limits to make wonderful decisions, you might not make on your own. If you haven't had the opportunity to watch it you should. I never rely on critic's to tell me what I will like and what I won't. In any case you should always be the one to see it for yourself! That is any decision you make-

Family Picture

Grace, Derek, Me, Shelley, Nick, Liam, Nana & Pop-Pop

We just received our family portrait from my mother in law. We took this while we were on vacation in California. I miss our family so much, it is nice to know that photographs always savor your time with loved ones.
